The Rotel Michi S5 stereo power amplifier delivers 500 watts per channel into 8 ohms, pairing commanding Class AB amplification with meticulously considered engineering. Its dual-monoblock architecture features two identical, oversized toroidal transformers, each housed in an individual epoxy-filled enclosure to eliminate noise and vibration. Four British-made capacitors, with a combined capacity of 188,000 µF, provide exceptional bass energy while preserving precise detail and control. Working with 32 high-current transistors, this substantial energy reserve ensures effortless timing and rhythmic precision, even under the most demanding load conditions. Balanced XLR inputs complete the design. The S5 embodies a commitment to sonic performance that extends from the initial concept to the finished amplifier.
