Stela completes Apertura's trio of compact speakers. A 2-way, 3-driver floorstander with the qualities of Swing and Sensa, it delivers a higher level of bass response and dynamic capability. A special woofer version keeps a nominal 8 Ω impedance, making it easier for the partnering amplifier, and its compact size keeps placement simple. Cabinet: 18 mm MDF with four internal bracing panels creating cavities for four different damping materials; rear-ported bass-reflex loading; a well-proportioned plinth and four adjustable spikes for precise positioning. Drivers: two 16 cm SEAS bass/midrange units with "Isotactic Matrix" cones, a magnet system optimised around a ventilated 26 mm voice coil and low-loss rubber surrounds with radial reinforcements. The 25 mm "Ring Radiator" tweeter extends beyond 30 kHz with excellent directivity, using a double-ferrite magnet for higher sensitivity and lower distortion. Crossover: proprietary "DRIM" with triple attenuation slopes (6, 12 and 24 dB per octave), phase-coherent across the full bandwidth, hand-wired in France with thick enamelled-wire inductors, polypropylene capacitors, wirewound resistors and thick OFC copper internal wiring.
