A slim French floorstander with remarkable reach. Drivers: a 16 cm mid/woofer with an "Isotactic Matrix" cone of woven polypropylene strips — the same family used in Armonia, Edena and their bigger siblings — combining stiffness, lightness and excellent damping. Its long voice coil allows a long linear excursion, impressive for a speaker of this size, and an original surround with radial stiffeners reduces interference. High frequencies come from a "Ring Radiator" tweeter with a bullet-shaped waveguide and rear damping chamber, extending response beyond 40 kHz and blending easily with the mid/woofer. Crossover: Apertura's proprietary "DRIM" design with triple attenuation slopes cancels intermodulation for exceptional clarity and finesse. Each driver set is measured individually and crossover values are matched to it, hand-wired on a 140 µm copper circuit board. Cabinet: 18 mm thick panels, a multi-cavity internal frame with 3 bracing panels, and a double-resonator bass-reflex load for deeper bass, with two different damping materials to cancel standing waves.
