The flagship 702 S3 is an advanced floorstanding loudspeaker that sets new standards of performance in its class. Its carbon-dome tweeter is housed in a newly developed Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top assembly, while a downward-facing port and three Aerofoil Profile bass cones deliver deep, articulate bass. The latest Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure features a more elongated form and a longer internal system for an even more open high-frequency presentation. Machined from a single piece of aluminium and carefully decoupled, the housing resists resonance. Developed specifically for the 700 Series, the Carbon Dome tweeter raises the break-up threshold to 47kHz, bringing precision to imaging and fine detail. The Continuum cone avoids the abrupt changes in behaviour that can compromise conventional drivers, revealing voices and instruments with openness, neutrality and transparency. The dedicated midrange driver combines the Continuum cone, FST technology, Biomimetic Suspension and midrange decoupling to minimise interference from the bass drivers. Developed using advanced computer modelling, the Aerofoil Profile bass cones employ variable thickness to provide rigidity where it is needed most. The result is bass with impressive depth and dynamic expression.
