The JVC DLA-NZ900BE combines three third-generation native 4K D-ILA devices with second-generation 8K/e-shiftX technology and JVC’s latest 8K scaling engine, bringing exceptional clarity to a wide range of content, including 8K sources. Its precision 100 mm all-glass lens incorporates 18 elements in 16 groups, with five ED lenses designed to minimise chromatic aberration and colour fringing for faithful reproduction across the screen. JVC’s BLU-Escent laser light source delivers 3,300 lumens with a stated lifespan of 20,000 hours. A native contrast ratio of 150,000:1 combines with dynamic laser control to reveal richly nuanced images and profound blacks, with the light source able to switch off completely for fully black scenes. A colour gamut exceeding DCI/P3 brings beautifully saturated colour to the cinematic experience. Second-generation Frame Adapt HDR analyses HDR10 content scene by scene or frame by frame, adjusting tone mapping in real time for brighter, more colourful images and refined gradation. Support for HDR10, HLG and HDR10+ accommodates a broad range of films, streaming and broadcast content, while Auto Tone Mapping automatically optimises settings for HDR10 material. Two 48 Gbps HDMI inputs support 8K60p and 4K120p signals, pairing ultra-high-resolution cinema with high-frame-rate gaming. Low Latency mode reduces display delay for more responsive play, bringing fast-moving action to the big screen with precision.
