Built around the latest ULTIMA circuit topology, it is conceived to strike an ideal balance between performance and price. The description specifies an impressive 300 watts of power, sufficient to drive even demanding loudspeakers with confidence. Advanced dual-feed-forward error correction works alongside Chord Electronics’ very-high-frequency power-supply designs to deliver fast, powerful performance and exceptionally high peak output current. The result is striking dynamics, precise timing and compelling musicality. At its heart are 64 proprietary MOSFET power devices, supported by highly refined circuitry. These low-distortion, dual-die lateral-structure MOSFETs enable ULTIMA 5 to handle loudspeaker loads with effortless clarity and precision.
