Powerful yet pleasingly compact, the KEF R7 Meta is a medium-sized, three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that brings substance to music and film. Twin 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass drivers are partnered with a Uni-Q array combining a 125 mm midrange driver and a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter, delivering natural, precise sound with exceptional clarity. Drawing on innovations developed for KEF’s flagship The Reference series, the R Series unites decades of acoustic expertise with a pursuit of musical authenticity. Its refined 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array works with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) to reveal exquisite detail and a compelling panoramic soundstage, whether in a traditional two-channel system or a multichannel home cinema. MAT’s intricate, maze-like structure absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound emerging from the rear of the tweeter, reducing the resulting distortion for a purer, more natural presentation. A specially designed conical waveguide and two internal rings of porous absorption material further control resonances, enhancing transparency, detail and clarity.
